MANILA, Philippines - As talk persisted among internet chat groups
that the Irish rock band U2 is set to play in Manila, Inquirer
Entertainment sought to verify the wild rumor.

The information we gathered was exciting enough to share with readers.
“Yes, we’re working on it,” said an officer of Concertus, an events,
concerts and marketing affiliate of MTV Philippines.

Unconfirmed date of the impending gig is sometime in October (the e-
groups have not mentioned their sources—the same month that the new U2
album is set to be released.

Still composed of the original lineup it had when the band formed in
1976, U2 became a top international act with its anthemic sound—
anchored by the innovative playing style of guitarist The Edge and the
impassioned words and vocals of front man Bono.

In seguito a delle voci persistenti tra alcune chat groups, riguardanti la possibilità che gli U2 si esibiscano a Manila, l'Inquirer Entertainment ha cercato conferme.

Le informazioni che abbiamo raccolto erano abbastanza entusiasmanti da condividerle con i lettori.
"Sì, stiamo lavorando su questo", afferma un dipendente della Concertus, un affiliato di MTV Filippine che si occupa di eventi, concerti e marketing.

La data non è confermata, ma l'imminente concerto è previsto per Ottobre, lo stesso mese in cui dovrebbe uscire il nuovo album degli U2. (gli e-groups non hanno menzionato le loro fonti)

Composti ancora dall'originale formazione di quando la band esordì nel 1976, gli U2 sono diventati uno dei più importanti gruppi internazionali, grazie al loro suono caratteristico -supportato dallo stile innovatvo di The Edge e dalla voce e dai testi appassionati del front man Bono.
